Helen Dilworth
 
Dr. Dilworth has performed in the United States, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Puerto Rico. She is well known to audiences throughout the Bay Area by her nickname “Dr. Diva” given to her by retired CCSF President Dr. Willis Kirk. Dr. Dilworth has taught in many venues, currently City College of San Francisco and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has also taught at many Universities, Conservatories, and singing teacher’s organizations, and musician’s associations. Dr. Dilworth has been an adviser for the California Touring Artists program and also conducts private lessons, vocal seminars, gospel workshops and choral clinics. She combines teaching with a successful career as a solo vocalist and is known for her expert interpretations of art songs, gospel songs and solos with a choir. As a teacher Ms. Dilworth is able to provide guidance based upon the collective wisdom of the wide range of experts with whom she has studied. Her methods allow students to develop their technique and expression to perform “better, faster and longer.”
