Justin Kolb Artist's Website >> Justin Kolb has performed in more than 100 recital halls throughout Europe and the Middle East. He has also appeared as soloist at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, Lincoln Center, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and Chicago’s Orchestra Hall. A favorite performer at the International Liszt Festival, he repeatedly performs or serves as program host at Canada’s Great Romantics Festival. Justin also serves as a mentor on the faculty of Canada’s National Academy Orchestra, Boris Brott conductor. Kolb’s repertoire and recordings include contemporary American composers. His traditional repertoire centers on Beethoven and Liszt. Orchestra engagements have included the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Hamburg Philharmonic in Germany. Kolb continues his studies with his friend and artistic advisor, German Diez. A popular clinician and motivational speaker, Kolb is frequently engaged by colleges and universities to present his interactive lecture Know the Score: Inspiration and Motivation for Life After Music School. An “arts in education” advocate, Kolb often addresses parents’ groups and district school boards. Kolb’s articles have been published in Clavier magazine as well as Piano Today.
