| Ji-Eun Kang Praised as " Lyrical and superb pianist" by Washington Post, Ji-Eun Kang has been received raving reviews from New York Concert Review, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Charleston Courier, Times and Herald Newspaper and all of the national newspapers in Korea. Her performances were featured on ABC-TV,WJFF 90.5 FM, KBS-FM (Korea Broadcasting System) and MBC-TV (Munwha Broadcasting System). Ms. Kang has been the top prizewinner of the International Competitions such as Washington, Olga Koussevitzky, Chopin-Koszciuszko, TCU Cliburn/Fort Worth Symphony Soloist Competition, Korea Music Foundation (in New York)'s Debut Recital Award, Seoul Chamber Music Competition and Joong-Ang Music Competition. Ms. Kang’s soloist appearances include with Fort Worth Chamber Symphony, Charleston Festival Orchestra, Friday Music Club Orchestra, Seoul City Orchestra, and Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. She had numerous concerts in prestigious concert halls including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, United Nations, Alice Tully Hall and Paul Hall at Lincoln Center, Seoul Arts Center Grand Hall and Sejong Cultural Grand Hall. Her international concert appearances were in Europe, Asia as well as all over the United States. Ms. Kang has also played in music festivals such as Aspen, Music Academy of the West, Shandelee, TCU/Cliburn, College of Charleston's Piano Festival, Gilmore and Yellow Barn Music Festival. Most recently, her engagements were playing Beethoven’s five piano sonatas and two piano concertos at the legendary Wilhelm Kempff’s prestigious Beethoven Festival in Positano. Her performances and interviews at the festival were made as a documentary film by the Irish Radio Broadcasting System. She received her Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees from the Juillard School as a student of Abbey Simon and also has studied with Maria Curcio Diamand, Jerome Lowenthal, Samuel Sanders and Yong-Hi Moon. She was also awarded her Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree from Michigan State University as a full fellowship recipient (Cobb’s Fellowship and Dean’s Recruitment Fellowship).
