| Elbert Tsai Elbert Tsai, a San Francisco native, will begin performing as a regular member of the San Francisco Symphony in September. For the past two years, he has been a member of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra and has also spent time subbing with the San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Symphony. His summer activities have included the San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival, Tanglewood Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Pacific Music Festival (in Sapporo, Japan) and concertmaster duties with the National Repertory Orchestra. He recently graduated from the University of Southern California where he earned an Advanced Studies Certificate, studying with Robert Lipsett.
