Dennis Finnegan Artist's Website >> Dennis Finnegan took a circuitous path to singing and arranging jazz standards. His love for the guitar came first, and as a teenager on Long Island, New York was expressed in the only way possible in that time and place, through playing in rock bands with other guys in leather jackets. The feeling that "there must be more than this" led him to study classical guitar, and ultimately to get a Master's degree in his instrument. He didn't go about this in a typical way, but focused on 20th century composers, particularly from Latin America, and studied composition and arranging in addition to performance.
