Charles Rus
 
Charles Rus has given solo concerts throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. As organist for the San Francisco Symphony, he has performed as soloist and in ensemble with the Orchestra and Chorus on many occasions, both at home and on tour. A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mr. Rus first became involved with the organ as an apprentice with George Bozeman Organbuilders in New Hampshire. After earning degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Michigan, he won a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the Folkwang Music Academy in Germany. Mr. Rus is musician at the Episcopal Church of Saint John the Evangelist and has been Professor of Organ at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He is also a composer of choral music.
