The eminent Italian pianist Enrico Pompili, a specialist of contemporary and 20th century music, performs a selection of works that he is recording for the avant-garde Stradivarius label by California composer Michael Glenn Williams and Italian composer Niccolò Castiglioni. The world premieres of Williams' Anger Burst and selections from the Suite for Piano are presented alongside Castiglioni's travelogue of miniatures on the Italian Alps, Come io passo l'estate.
