In dedication to former Director of Music at Old First Church, Dr. Jay A. Pierson leads the Old First adult choir in an inspiring concert of sacred music. Featuring Gabriel Fauré’s elegant and eloquent setting of the Requiem, the program will also include sacred choral works of American composers, Kenneth Matthews, Jay Pierson, William Dawson and Daniel Gawthrup. The renowned harpist Karen Thielen joins the choir, along with soloists Britt LaGatta and Thom Vindiola. Don’t miss this evening of celestial singing!
