Coming to Old First Concerts fresh from accepting a position as Assistant Concertmaster of the Berlin Komische Opera Orchestra, MinJung Kang is reunited with her childhood friend and local talent Sarah Hong in a program of string duos. Martinu’s high-energy Duo No. 1 and Ravel’s large-scale virtuoso Sonata are joined with works by Paganini, Halvorsen’s adaption of Handel’s Harpsichord Suite No. 7, and new transcriptions from Bach’s Two Part Inventions.
