Alexander Vaulin, a Russian pianist who graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, presents his American debut with a program consisting of rarely performed romantic masterworks including the US-premiere of his own concert version of Sibelius’ Finlandia and West Coast premieres of captivating compositions by Stenhammar (Sweden) and Silvestrov (Ukraine). Rare works by Grieg and Tchaikovsky are also included.
