Sony Holland
A stimulating mix of tunes from the American Songbook, Bossa Nova classics, and much more

"A decidedly modern jazz diva."–San Francisco Chronicle
"She's going to be a smash..."–Don Bowen, KRML radio

Drawn to San Francisco in 2003 by her love of, and the City's tradition of, smooth jazz, Sony Holland rose from singing on Fisherman's Wharf sidewalks to sold out houses and prolonged ovations at The Plush Room, Yoshi's and Jazz At Pearl's in one year's time. Her original lyrics are evocative of Paris, New York, and this, her adopted home, and are delivered with a vibrant stage presence, effortless range, and an impeccable sense of swing, in a mesmerizing, sultry voice that the Chronicle likened to a blend of Barbara Streisand and Nancy Wilson.
