Sujeeva Hapugalle

Sujeeva Hapugalle, piano

Selections by Chopin, Liszt/Verdi, Paganini, Schumann, Balakirev, Ravel, Godowsky, Piazzolla, Hough/Hammerstein, and Gershwin

Sujeeva Hapugalle studied at London's Royal College of Music, where she was a major prizewinner and was praised by London's musical press for demonstrating "the incredible range of colours the piano can produce in the hands of a skilled player whose imagination brought new life to every piece she played." Her versatility, extensive repertoire and sheer artistry have taken her from Europe to North and South America and the Middle and Far East. A recent Bay Area transplant, she presents a varied program of works by our greatest composers.
