Pianist Thomas Schultz enjoys an international reputation both as an interpreter of music in the classical tradition and as a leading exponent of contemporary and evolutionary musical forms, and is known for recitals that illustrate and underscore the undiminished vitality of the piano repertoire by juxtaposing the timeless with the timely. Today's program features works by Schoenberg and Busoni and the earlier greats who influenced them—Beethoven, Liszt and Brahms—and a recent composition by Hyo-shin Na.
