martha & monica performs an international, wide-ranging program of fantastic music for ‘cello and piano. The pair continues an ongoing exploration into the connections between history, literature and music–from a Russian iconoclastic "re-composing" of a beloved Schubert Impromptu, glorious Beethoven, Pohádka (inspired by romantic poet Vasily Zhukovsky's The Tale of Tsar Berendei), to the plains of Argentina.
