Since 2004, pianist Carol Isaac has been a virtual one-woman ambassador for the works of classical Czech and Moravian composers, presenting recitals of representative works from that repertoire throughout the United States, including a previous Old First Concerts appearance wherein she performed Leos Janácek's song cycle, Diary of One Who Vanished, with tenor Jay Hunter Morris. Continuing this series, tonight she offers a recital of piano works by Janácek, one of the premiere Czech composers, accompanied by members of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra.
