Andante Favori and Sonata in E-slat, Op 81a, ‘Les adieux by Beethoven; selections from Études dexécution transcendente by Liszt; Etude-tableau in E-flat minor (Snow Storm), Op. 33, No. 6 by Rachmaninoff; Paisajes (Landscapes) by Mompou; La Vega (The Plain) by Albeniz; Sonata No. 1 by Ginastera Pianist Daniel Glover will present a varied program, including two well-known and beloved works by Beethoven. In an exploration of nature in all its fury and beauty, Mr. Glover includes a group of works by Liszt, Rachmaninoff and Mompou based on observations of the natural world, as well as Albeniz’ gorgeous and rarely heard La Vega (The Plain). Ginastera’s powerful Sonata No. 1 will bring the program to a brilliant conclusion. You’ll see why Mr. Glover’s recent performance was rated as one of the “Top 10 Best Classical Concerts in the Bay Area” by the San Jose Mercury News.
