Works by Michael Glenn Williams, including the World Premiere of Anger Burst; Sonata zoologica by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco; Come io passo l’estate NiccolÃ² CastiglioniThis concert is presented with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of San FranciscoThe eminent Italian pianist Enrico Pompili, a specialist of contemporary and 20th century music, performs a selection of works that he is recording for the avant-garde Stradivarius label by California composer Michael Glenn Williams and Italian composer NiccolÃ² Castiglioni. The world premieres of Williams’ Anger Burst and selections from the Suite for Piano are presented alongside Castiglioni’s travelogue of miniatures on the Italian Alps, Come io passo l’estate.
