Works by Michael Glenn Williams, including the World Premiere of Anger Burst; Sonata zoologica by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco; Come io passo l’estate Niccolò CastiglioniThis concert is presented with the support of the Italian Cultural Institute of San FranciscoThe eminent Italian pianist Enrico Pompili, a specialist of contemporary and 20th century music, performs a selection of works that he is recording for the avant-garde Stradivarius label by California composer Michael Glenn Williams and Italian composer Niccolò Castiglioni. The world premieres of Williams’ Anger Burst and selections from the Suite for Piano are presented alongside Castiglioni’s travelogue of miniatures on the Italian Alps, Come io passo l’estate.
