The brilliant pianist Joel Fan offers a highly varied assortment of programs that place him clearly on the cutting edge of piano repertoire and programming. Because of his work with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble, his exposure to new and unusual music inspires a universal approach. For his return to Old First Concerts, he presents a program featuring Sonata, Op. 101 by Beethoven, Nine New Bagatelles by Bolcom and Piano Sonata by Carter.
