Heidi Melton sings

Outstanding young dramatic soprano Heidi Melton, Adler Fellow at San Francisco Opera, performs Olivier Messiaen’s hour-long epic song cycle on the theme of Tristan and Isolda. Peruvian legends, mysticism and birdsong illuminate this extraordinary rarely-performed masterpiece, which abounds in rich lyricism, compelling drama and the utmost virtuosity from both performers. A major centenary tribute to the one of the musical giants of the twentieth century.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
