Sergey Rakitchenkov and Arkady Serper are both graduates of the Moscow Tchaikovsy Conservatory who began their distinguished careers in the major concert halls of Europe and Russia before immigrating to the United States. In this program of works by Druzhinin, Glazunov, Prokofiev, Takemitsu, Bax and Brahms, they honor the late Fyodor Druzhinin—violist, composer and one of Rakitchenkovs teachers—who passed away in 2007.
