The “Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts†chamber music program, directed by Ava Soifer, presents a concert by students & faculty. Performing works for mixed ensembles, solo & duo piano, students from the piano, orchestra and band departments come together to create an exciting program including works by Bernstein, Barber, Piazzolla, Ewazen, Arensky, Bruch, Schumann, & Chopin. Performers include distinguished SOTA faculty Brad Hogarth, trumpet & Ava Soifer, piano. SOTA is a public arts High School offering free quality arts and academic education since 1982. Students from the music departments have matriculated to conservatories and music programs across the country including Julliard, Oberlin, New England Conservatory, Curtis, USC, Berklee College of Music, UCLA and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
