Krisanthy Desby, Miles Graber, and Tom Rose have performed many times with one another, as duos, or in other ensembles. This program explores the progression of the Clarinet Trio from early Beethoven through mid-twentieth century works by Paul Juon and Robert Muczynski. Krisanthy Desby has been active in chamber ensembles and orchestras in North America, Europe and South Africa, including founding the Laurel Ensemble and Strobe, and has been Assistant Principal of both the Napa Valley Symphony and the Santa Cruz Symphony. Miles Graber has developed a wide reputation in the Bay Area as an accompanist and collaborative pianist for instrumentalists and singers, including Sarah Change, Axel Strauss, Frederica von Stade, Stuart Canin, and Robert Howard, and is a member of chamber ensembles including MusicAEterna, GGR Trio, Alcyone Ensemble, the Sor Ensemble, Mira Trio, and the new music group Sounds New. Tom Rose is Principal Clarinetist with Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra, a member of Trio Brillante, and in January of 2016 he and Graber released their second CD of music for clarinet and piano.
