The Torgul-Chanco Duo

Air for Violin and Piano by Aaron Jay Kernis; Sonata for Violin and Piano by John Corigliano; Sonata No. 3 in D minor, Op. 108 by Johannes BrahmsErtan Torgul’s musical credentials are as impressive as his playing—former member of the New World Symphony, co-founder of the Prix Mercure-winning Plymouth String Quartet, current Associate Concertmaster of the San Antonio Symphony—and as his violin: a 1721 Stradivarius. Aileen Chanco’s debut with the San Francisco Symphony at age thirteen was the launching pad of a career that has included solo turns with the Boston Pops and at the Kennedy Center. As the Torgul-Chanco Duo, they literally make beautiful music together.
