Andrès Martin Synchronicity for Cello and Bass World Premiere
Shinji Eshima / Bach Cello Suite No. 2, for cello and double bass

San Francisco Symphony musicians, Assistant Principal cellist Amos Yang and bassist Charles Chandler are the low-string duo 2LOW. Join them as they present an exciting program that includes the world premiere of the commissioned duo Synchronicity for Cello and Bass by world renown Argentinian composer Andrès Martin. Martin stretches the boundaries of what is possible on both instruments and combines classical and Jazz influences to create a voice distinctively his own. Also included amongst other programed works will be the recently commissioned, Shinji Eshima’s reimagined second cello suite by Bach, for cello and double bass. Native bay area composer Shinji Eshima’s compositions have garnered international acclaim. Most notably his ballets RAkU and Swimmer, commissioned and performed internationally and by the San Francisco Ballet.
