Bobbe Norris and Larry Dunlap

“…[Norris has] a voice wide of range yet intimate in style and delivery with a low lush vibrato warmer than an open hearth on a winter night…” Rex Reed, GQVocalist Bobbe Norris’ dusky contralto and interpretive brilliance had her recording for major labels and appearing on the Ed Sullivan and Tonight shows, until she retreated from the professional spotlight. Fortunately, the exceptionally talented pianist-arranger Larry Dunlap came into her life and has drawn her back into ours. She “brings out the sweetness and rich flavor of each song,” wrote Rex Reed, while he, said the Chronicle, is “one of the best jazz pianists around—anywhere.” Now this remarkable husband-wife duo presents a stylish, sophisticated, and often surprising program of American standards, jazz, Brazilian music and original pieces.
