An Evening of Profondo Delights & Laments

Come explore the true treasures of the deep, wonderful music for the basso profondo. Discover love songs, ballads, comedy and tragedy among the sparkling jewels of Mozart, Gounod, Strauss, Ravel, Schumann, Flégier, Meyerbeer, Fischer, Saint-Saëns, Loewe, Lachner, Elliot, Petrie, Solman and Bloomfield. Featured as Sarastro on Great Performances: Live From Lincoln Center and widely acclaimed as Osmin, Gregory Stapps deeply melodious bass voice has also been heard in 30 productions with San Franciscco Opera, many of which were broadcast over NPR. Now Gregory Stapp is joined by renowned pianist (and conductor) Robert Ashens for this extraordinary evening of music devoted to the lowest of human voices. Please join us for what promises to be a fascinating evening of delights (and laments)!
