Cybele Gouverneur & Temirzhan Yerzhanov – May 16, 2014

Bay Area favorite and San Francisco Opera mezzo-soprano Cybele Gouverneur and ‘Best Performer of the Year’ pianist Temirzhan Yerzhanov present a program of songs by Wagner, Elgar, Granados, Montsalvatge, Chapi, and Luna. Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, which inspired the chromatic-harmonic style of Tristan und Isolde, are at the center of an evening of passion. A program in celebration of love, the gypsy life, and the fierce sea, culminate with the brilliance of the Spanish zarzuela. cybelegouverneur.com temirzhanyerzhanov.com
