“Ari” is a Korean word with multiple meanings: big river, wisdom and beauty. Ensemble Ari is a group of Korean American musicians in the Bay Area who want to share this quality with the community. Their mission is to bridge Korea and other communities through western instruments while honoring Korean history and culture. For this performance, members of the ensemble will perform works for trio, duo, and solo by women composers Amy Beach, Addie Camsuzou, and Sofia Gubaidulina.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
