San Francisco's Home for Great Concerts since 1970

MTAC Festival – May 3, 2015

The San Francisco Branch of the Music Teachers’ Association of California presents its students in a gala concert of character pieces by German and Austrian Romantic composers. Approximately twenty young musicians will perform a variety of pieces from one of music history’s richest musical traditions, including works by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms, Weber and Mendelssohn. The performers for this gala event will be chosen by audition in the weeks before the concert, so you will hear some of the most gifted and accomplished music students in the Bay Area. A portion of ticket sales will go toward MTAC-SF Branch programs for students. Please come and witness our musical future while benefiting local music education. Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
