and much more!

Del Sol String Quartet hosts the second annual Pacific Pythagorean Music Festival at Old First Concerts. This annual festival is devoted to music that uses mathematically “pure ratios” – finding harmony and resonance in alternate tuning systems. With performances by an all-star lineup of Bay Area performers from experimental to traditional styles, this year’s four-hour celebration will also feature several world premieres. The Del Sol Quartet will perform a newly commissioned piece from composer Jung Yoon Wie, as part of the PPMF just intonation commissioning fund. Honoring the memory of Ben Johnston, Del Sol will be joined by local forces for the world premiere of Ben Johnston’s Symphony in A.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!

If you’d like to consider volunteering with Old First Concerts, please contact curtishuth@oldfirstconcerts.org for more information.
