The Bay Area group Resonance Jazz Ensemble hails members with a collectively mature history of performing with legendary artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Louie Bellson, Clare Fischer, Dave Anderson Quartet, Terrence Brewer, Joe Lovano, Jethro Tull, Oakland Jazz Choir, Mingus Amungus, Gloria Estefan, as well as the Marin and Berkeley Symphonies, Woodminster Theatre Orchestra, and the California Pops Orchestra. Their performances offer a rich composite of original standards from Duke Ellington to George Gershwin and Keith Jarrett, marrying the sounds of this unusual orchestration with violin, viola, flute/vocals, cello, sax, double bass, drums and piano. Bandleader Stephen McQuarry introduces his new jazz originals and arrangements of tunes by Brubeck, Gershwin, and pop tunes by Fleetwood Mac and Roberta Flack for this concerts “Jazz for All†theme.
