The festival’s solo recital series concludes with Parker Van Ostrand, recipient of the American Liszt Society’s inaugural fellowship. A rising star with prestigious competition prizes and international concert experience, Parker’s performances during the 2022 San Francisco International Piano Festival were met with great enthusiasm. Recent highlights for Parker include his debut at the Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, a gold medal at the Wideman Piano Competition, and a performance with Yuja Wang during her residency at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Parker Studies with Garrick Ohlsson and Jon Nakamatsu and will be beginning his third year at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music this fall.
