These concerts commemorate the 100th anniversary of Scriabin’s death and present his entire sonata cycle by date of composition in order to show the extraordinary development of Scriabin’s compositional style. Program two presents works in transition from his early to middle periods, and the beginnings of his late style with the Sonatas 4 and 5, as well as Poems, Op. 32, Fantasy, Op. 28, PoeÌ€me Tragique, PoeÌ€me Satanique, selections from Etudes, Opus 8, and other works.
