Collegium Cantorum

Works by Desprez, Palestrina, Schütz, Hillborg, Lindberg, Couperin, Bruckner, Grieg, and BachCollegium Cantorum, the chamber choir of Sweden’s Uppsala Cathedral, was founded in 1983 as a vocal ensemble for advanced singers wishing to pursue higher levels of choral virtuosity. Renowned in Europe for their exceptional interweaving of multiple voices and independent melodies into contrapuntal harmonies, and for a repertoire that ranges from renaissance polyphony to contemporary Nordic compositions, the choir customarily gives just around five concerts per year. Truly a rare musical opportunity.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
