San Francisco's Home for Great Concerts since 1970

Composers Inc.

Composers Inc. open their season with George Crumbs mighty Makrokosmos II performed by pianist Victoria Neve. The program will include Tag by Mikel Kuehn, winner of the Lee Ettelson Composers Award 2009. Tag, for two flutes, will be played by Tim Day and Robin McKee, Principal and Associate Principal flutists of the San Francisco Symphony. Ms. McKee will be joined by ‘cellist Dawn Foster-Dodson in a performance of Llef by East Coast composer Hilary Tann, and San Francisco Symphony violist Nancy Ellis will turn that duo into a trio to perform Going Up? by Martin Rokeach. Ms. Ellis will also premiere Allen Shearers Soliloquy for solo viola.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
