Sonata for ‘cello and piano, Op. 19 by Rachmaninov; Piano Trio in A minor by RavelA recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Elizabeth Dormans playing has been called “as striking for its restraint as for its technical assurance … Dorman is unnervingly precocious” by Joshua Kosman of the San Francisco Chronicle. Along with noted ‘cellist Robert Howard, heard locally with the San Francisco Symphony and the Philharmonia Baroque she will perform Rachmaninoffs Sonata for ‘cello and piano, Op. 19. The San Francisco Symphonys Associate Principal Second Violinist Dan Carlson joins them in a performance of Ravels Piano Trio in A minor.
