Sonata for ‘cello and piano, Op. 19 by Rachmaninov; Piano Trio in A minor by RavelA recent graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Elizabeth Dormans playing has been called â€œas striking for its restraint as for its technical assurance â€¦ Dorman is unnervingly precociousâ€ by Joshua Kosman of the San Francisco Chronicle. Along with noted â€˜cellist Robert Howard, heard locally with the San Francisco Symphony and the Philharmonia Baroque she will perform Rachmaninoffs Sonata for â€˜cello and piano, Op. 19. The San Francisco Symphonys Associate Principal Second Violinist Dan Carlson joins them in a performance of Ravels Piano Trio in A minor.
