Golden Gate International Children’s and Youth Choral Festival

One of America’s most celebrated gatherings of young choral performers attracts childrens and youth choirs from all over the world to compete, perform and build international friendship, including: Vox Aurea (Finland), MidtVest Pigekor (Denmark), Kaohsiung Municipal Childrens Chorus (Taiwan) and the Ensemble of the Piedmont East Bay Childrens Choir. Founded in 1991, the GGF was the first international children’s choral festival in the western US. The Festival promotes international understanding through music, and musical excellence in choral singing, through competition and performance. Since its founding, the event has brought more than 3,000 young musicians from 19 countries together in friendship and harmony, performing for more than 50,000 audience members drawn from throughout northern California.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!

If you’d like to consider volunteering with Old First Concerts, please contact curtishuth@oldfirstconcerts.org for more information.
