Romancing the Voice

String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 51 and Two Songs, Op. 91 by Brahms; La Captive by Berlioz; Morgen, Op. 27, No. 4 by Strauss; Piano Quintet, Op. 81 by DvorakThe Eos Ensemble returns to Old First Concerts with another diverse program highlighting the vocal artistry of mezzo-soprano Daniela Mack. In 2008 she thrilled audiences at the San Francisco Opera in productions of Idomeneo and Die tote Stadt. Here she performs art songs of Brahms, Berlioz and the heavenly Morgen by Richard Strauss. The String Quartet No. 2 in A minor of Johannes Brahms and Dvorak’s Piano Quintet, with guest artist Marilyn Thompson, round out this sumptuous program of Romantic music.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering
