Jarring Sounds – October 17, 2014

Program includes works by Domenico Maria Megli, Giulio Caccino, Robert Dowland, Benjamin Britten, Ottorino Respighi, Jayme Ovalle, Paurillo Barroso, Lyset CompÃ¨re, Jean Richafort, Claudin de Sermisy, Silvestre Revueltas, Francis Poulenc, and Henri DuparcFrom five-voice madrigals to 20th century art songs, Jarring Sounds presents the evolution of music through transcriptions and intabulations for voice and plucked strings. The goal is for the duo to form a deeper connection with composers through co-creation, regardless of whether the composer was born in the 15th or 20th century.
