Keith Porter-Snell returns to Old First Concerts with an all new program of piano music for the left hand alone. He is joined by â€˜cellist Emil Miland for the US premiere of Stephen Houghs new Sonata for â€˜Cello and Piano, Left Hand. The program will also include the sumptuously beautiful Prelude and Nocturne of Scriabin, and the energetic music of Erwin Schulhoffâ€”an early 20th century composer, silenced by the Nazi regime, whose wonderful music has been re-discovered in the last decade. In 2012, Keith played Verbs, Book Two, by Kathleen Ryan; on this recital he will complete the set by performing Verbs, Book One.
