Strobe is the only dedicated oboe quartet in the U.S. Our mission is to expand the repertoire beyond the well-known quartets of Mozart and Britten. We have received grants from the Zellerbach Foundation and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to support the commission and performance of new works. In June, 2020, Strobe was awarded a grant by the Musical Grant Program of InterMusicSF to record the commissioned music.

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
