Ultra World X-tet – Old First Concerts

Ultra World X-tet presents a concert of new works, mostly comprised of world premieres. The groups sound draws from Western and Asian traditional and contemporary concert forms, modern jazz, and experimental textures. The unusual instrumentation includes multiple guzhengs (23-string Chinese zither), saxophone, bamboo flute, bass, and drums/percussion. Dont miss this special event where you can fully experience the X-tets pioneering mix of music and culture. The size of the group has been expanded for this concert, and will include some of the top musicians from Chinas Spirit Ensemble, a thriving organization dedicated to teaching and performing traditional Chinese music.

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.
