V Woodwind Quintet – Old First Concerts

Le Cheminee du Roi Rene, Op. 205 by Darius Milhaud; Quintet in E flat, Op. 71 by Ludwig van Beethoven; selections from Wind Quintet, Op. 159 by Alan Hovhaness; Andantino from Symphonic Metamorphosis on themes by Carl Maria von Weber by Paul Hindemith; Trois pieces breves by Jacques Ibert; Kleine Kammermusik fur funf Blaser, Op. 24, No. 2 by Paul Hindemith; Divertimento No. 1 in B flat by Joseph Haydn; Three Sea Sketches by George F. McKayDon Pender oboe and English horn with the Silicon Valley Symphony and past Deacon of Old First form “V” Woodwind Quintet about 2 years ago. We have played several concerts in the bay area and have been donating our time for symphony fund raisers, senior centers and have played for weddings and churches services around the bay area.The other members of the quintet are members of the Silicon Valley Symphony, Symphony Parnassus, Civic Symphony and Mill Valley Philharmonic.

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
