Meráki Quartet – Friday, April 26 at 8 pm

The Meráki Quartet, whose name is derived from the Greek word meaning “soulfully artistic”, presents a program of works from the past and present, all inspired by folk music. This dynamic quartet features four 16-year-old students in their Old First Concerts debut.

Duo Violão plus 1 – Friday, March 15 at 8 pm

Direct from Brazil, two fabulous Brazilian guitarists, accompanied by percussionist Ami Molinelli from the Bay Area, explore the rich and diverse repertoire that made up early choro music such as European waltzes, Tango Habanera, Maxixe, Lundu and more.

Schumann Revisited – Sunday, April 7 at 4 pm

Schumann’s piano works reexamined and fine-tuned to reflect the ways in which we listen to music today, in a presentation that brings the original excitement and drama of the Biedermeier era of nineteenth-century classical music back to the spotlight.

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

distributing programs

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
