Ensemble for These Times – Friday, June 29 at 8 pm

Ensemble for These Times (E4TT) returns to Old First Concerts with another edition of their 56X54 project of new and recent works by living composers. This program focuses on works featuring cello, and includes numerous World, US, and Bay Area premieres. Pre-concert talk at 7:30 with composers Lawrence Kramer, Frederick Schipizky and Grammy-nominee Tom Flaherty.

Curium – Friday, June 22 at 8 pm

Founded in the summer of 2017, the women of Curium piano trio specialize in performing the music of female composers along with traditional piano trio repertoire. This program features two rarely heard piano trios by women from different parts of the world: Chen Yi’s Tunes from My Home and Kaija Saariaho’s Light & Matter.

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
