Ragazzi Boys Chorus will lift their voices with festive songs of the holiday season in the concert Magnificent Wonders, an evening of marvelous music is filled with treasured yuletide favorites.
The quartet are joined by mezzo soprano Melinda Martinez Becker for the World Premiere of Nicolas Benavides’ Canto Caló, along with several works by Caroline Shaw and World Premieres of Melinda Martinez Becker’s arrangements of works by Gilberto Parra and Raymundo Perez y Soto.
A program that interweaves Beethoven’s mystical final piano sonatas with little-known entries from the composer’s diary (the Tagebuch) which show his fascination with Indian religion and philosophy.
Every year, pianist Mike Greensill is joined by a changing roster of friends in a Labor Day weekend performance at Old First Concerts, exploring the melodic joys of the Great American Songbook, with a hefty dose of Greensill original compositions included.
