BluePrint Festival

The World Premieres of Music for San Francisco by Bruce Mather and Volupté by Jacques Desjardins; String Quartet No. 15, Op. 291 by Darius Milhaud; Lux aeterna by Dmitri Yanov-Yanovski; selections from Adnan Songbook by Gavin BryarsThe BluePrint Festival is an innovative, in-the-forefront music series recognized for presenting programs that interweave the latest in contemporary sounds with lesser known twentieth century masterworks. An unorthodox ensemble that includes an electric guitar, bass clarinet and string quartet, its Old First Concerts program features a selection of musical compositions that range from the earthy to the introspective, and is highlighted by two world premieres—part of the performance season it has christened Fertile Sound. Please Note: Join us for a pre-concert talk at 7:15 PM with composers Jacques Desjardins and Bruce Mather, moderated by composer Francois Rose. Doors open at 7 PM.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!
