The Stone-Zimmermann Duo

Sonata No. 1 in G major, Op. 78 by Johannes Brahms; Sonata No. 3 by George Enescu; selections from Suite for violin and piano, Op. 6 by Benjamin Britten and the World Premiere of Seeing Things by Kurt Rohde Though both are now San Francisco residents, German violinist Iris Stone has won national competitions and performed at leading concert halls across Europe and in Asia and America, recently playing and recording with the Berlin Philharmonic, while Swiss pianist Eva-Maria Zimmermann has been lauded in her homeland as “brilliant and sensitive” (Berner Oberländer) and “breathtakingly intense” (Der Bund). As the Stone-Zimmermann Duo, they have been captivating audiences with their blend of superb musicianship, ravishing sound and profound interpretations. Their program features the World Premiere of Seeing Things by Kurt Rohde.
