Minsky Duo Raises the Barn
Nato, violin; Monica Chew, piano

Violinist Nato and pianist Monica Chew formed Minsky Duo in spring of 2016. Minsky Duo’s mission is to present extraordinary music from both popular and obscure composers. While audiences will hear the chamber music they know and love, Minsky Duo also presents listeners with provoking works they will soon not forget. This all-American program includes the Bay Area premiere of Ned Rorem’s sonata for violin and piano, Aaron Copland’s sonata, Children’s Day at the Camp Meeting by Charles Ives, and Road Movies by Bay Area composer John Adams, and a world premiere of some preludes and fugues for piano by American composer Aaron Andrew Hunt.

Old First Concerts has volunteer opportunities available!

Our concerts rely on the generosity of volunteers to assist with simple tasks like:

ushering

distributing programs

box office

set-up and clean-up

Scheduling is flexible — you choose when to work! We especially need helping hands for our Friday and Saturday night performances.

An excellent opportunity for students, seniors, or anyone who possesses a love for music!

If you’d like to consider volunteering with Old First Concerts, please contact curtishuth@oldfirstconcerts.org for more information.
