Quinteto Latino is pleased to be hosting the award-winning Cuban-American composer Orlando Jacinto García in a concert of his works, including the World Premiere of a new French horn solo performed by the quintet’s founder, Armando Castellano. García’s haunting music suspends time with slow-moving timbre and texture changes. The program will include his solo and ensemble compositions noche for multiple flutes and clarinets, the bassoon solo aire, madera, y metal, separacion for English horn and electronics, as well as múltiples vientos en la distancia for wind quintet. Mr. García will be present to introduce his works and meet audience members.
